HMA nixes 2017 iHobby Expo

Published: September 7, 2016
The Hobby Manufacturers Association announced it will not hold an iHobby Expo in 2017. The HMA board of directors made the decision after its regularly scheduled meeting on Aug. 17. The iHobby website, ihobbyexpo.net, states: "The Hobby Manufacturers Association wishes to thank all those who supported iHobby Expo for the past 30 years. At present there are no plans to sponsor any future iHobby Expos."

Bob Wilke, the newly elected president of the HMA, said in an email that "The future for a combined consumer and dealer trade show in the hobby industry is very uncertain. While some options or alternatives may be considered, at the present time there are no plans for a show in 2017."
