Caterpillar names Diecast Masters as new licensee

Caterpillar, Inc. has named Hong Kong-based Diecast Masters Co. Ltd. as a new scale-model licensee, replacing both Norscot and Tonkin Replicas. Diecast Masters was formed through the purchase of the Caterpillar scale-model businesses of both Norscot and Tonkin Replicas.
Although new as its licensee, Diecast Masters management has a 26-year history of brand and product development with Caterpillar, including manufacturing and distributing Caterpillar diecast models for more than 14 years. The focus of Diecast Masters’ business will be 1:50 model replicas, although 1:87 and other scales will also play a role in the product line.
Demonstrating turnkey readiness, Diecast Masters will produce the first models in the new line before the end of 2015. Initially, many of the former Norscot and Tonkin items will constitute the basis of the Diecast Masters catalog. New model developments will be presented in 2016.
Diecast Masters’ models will be distributed to retail channels in the United States and Mexico exclusively by b2bReplicas.
