"BattleKasting for Literacy" at Gen Con raises money for public library

Published: July 30, 2015
Adventure-series author Alane Adams announced a $2,500 donation to the Indianapolis Public Library Foundation and pledged to pay Gen Con attendees $2 for each person (up to $5,000) who plays the author's free, downloadable mobile game, BattleKasters, during the event at the Indiana Convention Center between 8 a.m. July 30 and 4 p.m. Aug. 2

"Like the Indianapolis Library Foundation, advancing children's literacy is core to my mission," Adams says. "My goal with BattleKasters is to get kids so excited about the game that they'll want to read the books cover to cover, and Gen Con is a perfect place to do that."
