Professor Motor to produce slot car line

Professor Motor Inc. has entered into an agreement with Revell Inc. to develop and release 1:32-scale slot cars, according to a March 18 release.
The new line of slot cars will be branded as Professor Motor slot racing cars. The cars will be developed using tooling from Revell, however, Professor Motor plans to implement design changes in order to improve competitiveness, according to the release.
Professor Motor also plans to produce a full line of service components for the slot cars.
“This agreement will allow continuation of the great concepts for slot racing cars that were developed by Revell in recent years,” Professor Motor CEO Andy Smith said, “and continue their heritage that started as one of the flagship brands back in the 1960s.”
The cars will be produced in China, according to the release. Professor motor will be responsible for all official licensing and distribution of the new slot car products.
