After a brief absence from the company, Ron Gibson will return to his position of LGB brand manager for Märklin Inc.

The move took effect Jan. 1. Märklin announced the hire via a Dec. 31 press release.

“We are delighted to announce that Ron Gibson has agreed to work with us again in order to adjust and expand the LGB product portfolio for the American market,” Märklin CEO Florian Sieber said. “Furthermore, he will represent the brand and serve as a contact person for LGB dealers and enthusiasts.”

As LGB brand manager, Gibson will visit retailers to provide merchandising and sales support, hands-on training and technical assistance. He will also demonstrate LGB products at shows, work with Märklin’s distributor, Walthers, and advise Märklin’s product-development staff in Germany on new product selection and growth strategies for the North American market, according to the release.

Gibson’s professional experience includes stints with Walthers, United Model Distributors, California Hobby, LGB of America and Roll Models. He was also a past president of the Large Scale Manufacturers Association.
