Rocky Mountain Train Show Reaches New Heights

The Rocky Mountain Train Show continued its run as the Largest Train Show West of the Mississippi with attendance of 10,257 on March 4-5, 2017—the event’s second largest attendance ever!
The show featured 140 exhibitors, including 30 of the industries leading manufacturers and publishers. The public had the opportunity to see the latest technology making model railroading more exciting than ever. Over 30 operating layouts were on hand to provide inspiration to current and future modelers.
Thirty seven presentations and how-to clinics were available to attendees, including offerings related to 1:1 railroading from Ed Dickens, Jr, Senior Manager of Heritage Operations for the Union Pacific Railroad, Jim Wrinn, editor of Trains Magazine and Jim Souby, President of ColoRail.
In keeping with its mission, the show provided an extensive array of hands-on activities for future hobbyists through its Kids Corner, including Story Time, Train Theatre, Train Races and it’s two signature programs: Build-A-Layout and Kid in a Cab.
The Rocky Mountain Train Show is sponsored by the Rocky Mountain Division of the Train Collectors Association. The mission of the Rocky Mountain Train Show is to promote and educate the public about the hobby of model railroading by providing information and inspiration to new and current hobbyists.
