Atlantis Toy and Hobby's newest release is this Classic Plastic 1:24 Lago Talbot and Alfa Romeo two-pack.
Online hobby retailer Megahobby.com was recently sold to Hobby Enterprises LLC, according to former Megahobby.com co-owner Peter Vetri.

When the deal consummated on April 19, however, Vetri and former co-owner Rick Delfavero maintained control of Atlantis Toy and Hobby, a hobby manufacturing company that started as a subsidiary of Megahobby.com.

Vetri, Atlantis’ president, said he and Delfavero, the company’s vice president, sold Megahobby.com in order to focus all of their efforts on Atlantis. “It was tough to juggle both,” Vetri said. “And the Atlantis part of it was suffering.”

With his work rededicated to the Atlantis brand, Vetri said the company is in the process of diversifying its product line with products such as puzzles and toys to go along with its model kits.

Atlantis has also launched a new website. Consumers can buy direct from Atlantis using the new website, but the company is also working to build its dealer and distributor network, Vetri said.

Along with the website, Atlantis also recently released a new model kit, a Classic Plastic two-pack featuring a 1:24-scale Lago Talbot and a 1:24-scale Alfa Romeo (No. AMC6001, MSRP $39.98).

Additionally, Atlantis has plans to launch a Kickstarter campaign for to gauge interest and raise funding for a Roman gladiator model kit, Vetri said. “It’s really a good way to gauge the market,” he said.
