Italeri releases project-specific paint sets
March 7, 2013
|Italeri has announced new customized Acrylic Paint Sets catering to specific modeling groups. Each boxed set features six 20-ml bottles of paint accurately matched to a specific modeling genre. |
According to Walt Schroder, national accounts manager for Model Rectifier Corp., the exclusive U.S marketer of Italeri Paints, dealers will appreciate the graphic, self-sell boxes.
“These packages are easy to stock and stack,” according to an MRC press release. “Instead of single bottles, it is expected that modelers will step up to these ‘six packs’ of coordinated colors.”
The color selection was designed to appeal to military model builders, gamers and other serious hobbyists. Rather than searching for individual colors, modelers can zero in on the exact set of colors they'll need for their project.
“Every color is historically and authentically correct for a specific modeling category,” according to the release. “These sets should result in increased paint sales and larger margins.”
The first sets in the series are Modern USAF/U.S. Navy Aircraft, Wll RAF Aircraft, WWII Military German Army; M.T.B. and Ships, WWII Luftwaffe Aircraft, WWll Aerei Regia Aeronautica, WWll USAAC Aircraft, WWll U.S. Navy Aircraft, WWII Military Allied Army, and an International Trucks and Trailers set.
Each bottle features a screw top cap and a no-waste, non-clog dropper lid. The paints are odorless, non-toxic and formulated for use with a brush or an airbrush.
