Stevens International to donate model kits to rescue mission

Published: November 30, 2012
Stevens International will be taking two carloads of children’s model kits, craft kits and puzzles to the Atlantic City Rescue Mission on Dec. 1 to be distributed to kids around the city.

Stevens has donated similar products in the past to Camden Rescue Mission, the company said. This year, however, Stevens contacted the mission in Atlantic City, a town hit particularly hard by Hurricane Sandy.

Bachmann Trains and Revell also assisted Stevens with donations. Bachmann contributed multiple cases of train sets and Revell is sending 11 cases of model kits.

“I am glad that we and others are able to help the missions in South Jersey, who have a thankless job trying to keep up with local needs,” Stevens President Michael Bass said in a release. “We always remember that as difficult a year as this has been for everyone, there are always those less fortunate who need our help.”
