This year’s National Retail Hobby Stores Association (NRHSA) Table Top Expo saw slightly more dealers attend than last year’s show, and many of them were in an upbeat mood.

The event, April 29–May 2 at the Orleans Hotel in Las Vegas, saw about 200 dealer personnel from approximately 100 stores attend. About 80 manufacturers set up booths and table top displays.

NRHSA officers said the educational seminars were well attended. Many of the dealers at the show said they had solid holiday seasons and business has been up through the first quarter of this year.

Several outgoing NRHSA board members were honored for their service to the organization, with president Bruce Throne handing out plaques at the “Party at the Pool” Tuesday night, including Art Schaefer of Schaefer’s Hobby in St. Louis, Mo.; Kimberly Franklin of B&B Sales in Snellville, Ga.; and Jim Pepperdine of PM Hobbycraft in Calgary, Alberta.
