Target consumer: Le Mans car collectors, Jaguar racing fans
First impression: This car helped put Jaguar on the motorsports map.
With its distinctive right-aligned dorsal fin and metallic blue livery, this 1:32-scale slot car is modeled after the No. 3 Ecurie Ecosse Jaguar D-Type XKD606, driven to the winner’s circle by Ron Flockart and Ivor Bueb in the 1957 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The Scalextric car features easy change pick-ups, the Magnatraction system, working rear lights and Xenon effect headlights.
Why you should stock it: The 1957 24 Hours of Le Mans was a historic race for Jaguar. The D-Type claimed five of the top six spots, with the No. 3 car leading the way.
With that in mind Scalextric paid proper attention to the car’s details, such as the Ault Wyborg flag blue livery, Ecurie Ecosse emblems and white-on-red 376 SG trade plates.
Jaguar collectors will want to add this piece of history to their collections. |
