RCX prepares dozens of events for show goers

Published: March 6, 2012
Although still almost two months away, the 2012 Radio Control Expo is beginning to take shape.

More than 70 exhibitors have already signed up for show booths at the 10th annual RCX, held April 28–29 in Long Beach, Calif. The show is on its 12th version of its floor plan. Organizers, however, are still accepting sponsorship applications, media and retailer registration, and exhibitor reservations, according to National Sales Director Forrest Melton.

This year’s show will feature more than a dozen attractions, including a “Try Me” drift track, monster truck demos, an indoor flight zone, a make-and-take station for kids, a dirt R/C track, a flight cage, a static model airplane competition, a rock crawl mountain, flight simulation stations and a tractor pull. Sunshine Systems is putting on a light show during which the main lights will be dimmed and participants will pull out their R/C surface vehicles and aircraft covered in LED lights.
