Garden railroad dealer St. Aubin Station going out of business

Published: March 28, 2012
Large-scale model railroad dealer St. Aubin Station is closing, according to information posted on the company's website.

Jason Sullivan, owner of the 17-year-old company located in Woodstock, Ill., said, "The decision to close was not made lightly and is based heavily on the status of the American economy." He explained that as customers' expendable income has lessened, so have the company's sales, and added raising prices to remain in business is not an option. He added other factors, including "supply chain issues, lack of new products, price increases by the manufacturers, etc." also influenced the decision.

Sullivan thanked his customers, employees and volunteers for their hard work and support. The company is having a clearance sale March 31-April 1.
