Maplegate Media Group names Greg Vogel new editor-in-chief

Maplegate Media Group announced Jan. 3 that effective immediately, Greg Vogel has been promoted to editor-in-chief for all Maplegate's publications. He previously served as executive editor of RC Driver magazine.

As editor-in-chief, Vogel will oversee editorial operations for RC Driver, Fly RC, Radio Control Heli Pilot and Robot magazines, as well as the company’s websites.

Vogel has been an avid radio control car hobbyist and racer since 1985 and a magazine editor since 1997. As a radio control car, boat, helicopter and airplane hobbyist, he has won several major race events. Vogel has also worked at a hobby shop and held editorial positions with Radio Control Car Action and RC Nitro magazines.

Vogel joined Maplegate in 2003 as the founding executive editor of RC Driver magazine, directing the publication's launch and rise to the genre. He was named editorial content editor in 2007.
