Hobbico announces Tx-R Transmitter-Ready R/C aircraft

Published: January 16, 2012
Hobbico is rolling out an R/C aircraft that can be controlled by any brand transmitter using a radio adapter.

The 12 aircraft in the line are factory equipped with a 2.4GHz SLT receiver and are branded Tx-R. The planes can be controlled by transmitters from Futaba, Hitec, JR and Spektrum with the use of the AnyLink Radio Adapter.

To use the AnyLink, it must be able to plug into the trainer or DSC port of a transmitter. The transmitters need not be 2.4GHz to start. When connected, the radio broadcasts “a true, interference-free, 2.4GHz signal compatible with the SLT receivers in every Tx-R airplane,” according to Hobbico. Tactic radios already use the SLT protocol, and there are no adapters needed.

Users will be able to fly the aircraft with radios they already have and are familiar with.

For a limited time, the company is giving away AnyLink adapters with the purchase of Tx-R aircraft.
