The Hobby Manufacturers Association (HMA) Board of Directors, in conjunction with the Craft & Hobby Association (CHA), is offering a special exhibit opportunity to HMA members.
A recent survey of CHA members indicates trade buyers at its Winter Trade Show (Jan. 29-Feb. 1, 2011 in the Los Angeles Convention Center) would like to see more traditional hobby products at this event.
The two associations are offering a chance for HMA manufacturers and members to “Test Drive” the show. HMA members can exhibit at the event at the special rate of $250 for a standard 10' x 10' booth (see the floor plan
here), with the CHA's membership fee waived. Exhibitors will get complimentary VIP invitations for key customers and a show badge good for many complimentary food and drink events. (Download the exhibit contract and payment inforamation here.)
A special area is designated for the "test drive" on the show floor and HMA will be exhibiting there, too.
According to a release from the HMA, the CHA 2010 Winter Show Attendee Survey says 93% of attendees come to see new products; 84% of attendees purchase products within two months after the show; and 67% of attendees place orders at the show.
By acting before Dec. 31, test drive exhibitors can take advantage of some cost savings relative to exhibit decor and booth accessories. Additionally, exhibitors may carry in items for their booth (no hand carts or wheeled bags) to help keep any drayage costs down.
