Some Atlas Genset Circuit Boards Fail with MRC Tech 6

Atlas Model Railroad Co. has announced that circuit boards on some of its new HO Genset locomotives have failed. The failures occurred while operating the locomotive using a Model Rectifier Corp. Tech 6 power pack. Atlas has asked buyers of its Genset locomotives to not operate the locomotive using a Tech 6 power pack.
MRC told Model Railroader magazine that it products, including the Tech 6, are tested in-house and by outsiders, and that the Tech 6 has been on the market for nearly a year with no previously reported problems.
Atlas did not disclose any specifics about the genset circuit-board failures. |
