Rapido Trains Inc., manufacturer of N- and HO-scale model railroad rolling stock and accessories,
has announced its entry into the OEM model railroad manufacturing business
through its Maytex-Rapido division.
The manufacturing segment, located in Dongguan, China, specializes in high-end hobby models. Its services
include research and design, tooling, decorating, assembly and packaging.
The firm brings many years of combined experience to each project, with specialization in HO, N and OO
gauge trains. North American and UK railroad prototypes are a specialty, but Maytex-Rapido also has experience making model kits, slot cars, and other hobby products.
According to a press release from the company, it’s ready to accept new tooling projects immediately, and
new assembly and production projects from summer 2010.
