Tips for an employee handbook

A good employee can be your hobby store’s best asset. A bad employee can be your store’s worst enemy. Hiring and firing employees are stressful parts of a small-business owner’s livelihood, as hiring is a gamble on future gains, and firing is a confirmation of lost time, money and resources. A clear, concise employee handbook will help ensure that the owner and employees are well-in-formed of the duties, behavior and expectations required of them, and for positive relations in the workplace.
