For stores that carry models, one of the easiest — and sensible — expansions is into tabletop wargaming. One of the common complaints about building models from inside and outside the industry is that kids don't have any interest in it because of the lure of the Internet or video game consoles. Those involved in tabletop wargaming will tell you that they are seeing growing sales, even when people are supposedly watching their wallets especially close.
