August 12, 2011 There has been much speculation and conversation surrounding the impending NPRM (notification of proposed rulemaking) by the Federal Aviation Administration concerning sUAS. The NPRM will propose rules aimed at regulating sUAS in American airspace and will also likely include provisions for radio-control model planes.
