Lynda Barry recieves Chazen Family Distinguished Chair in Art

The University of Wisconsin has chosen cartoon artist and author Lynda Barry as the first recipient of the Chazen Family Distinguished Chair in Art.

Barry is the creator of Ernie Pook’s Comeek, a nationally syndicated comic strip. She has authored 21 books over a 35-year-long career. She also has a monthly feature in Esquire, Mother Jones Magazine, and others.

She is now associate professor at the School of Education's art department.
