The Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA), in partnership with the UAV Ground School (UAVGS), is offering a discount  of $75 to all members perusing their remote pilot airman certificate.

The AMA was recently appointed to the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Drone Advisory Committee. Under Part 107 of the Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Rule, the FAA now requires non-model unmanned aerial vehicle pilots to pass an exam to receive their UAS Operator certification.

The UAVGS test-prep is produced by Gold Seal, which has helped 45,000 pilots study for the FAA Knowledge Test. FAA-certified instructors teach the program via online courses.

AMA members can now prepare for the FAA Part 107 exam and save $75 off the $249 preparation program price with the promo code “AMA.”

“The website is intuitive, the cost to our membership is affordable, and I think the folks that created UAV Ground School truly have the best interest of AMA membership at heart,” says AMA’s executive director, Dave Mathewson.

AMA says the program is created for those wanting to increase their knowledge, become a professional UAV operator or gain FAA remote pilot certification.
