Store celebrates 35th anniversary

Published: July 26, 2016
Scott’s Toys and Hobbies in Duncan, B.C., is celebrating 35 years in business.

The store, located on scenic Vancouver Island, proudly boasts of being “Your one-stop-shop for all your trains, models, art supplies and much more.”

It first opened in 1981, when it was called Campbell’s Toy Store. With experience in retail, Diane Scott and her husband took over the shop and began stocking it with both hobby and art supplies.

Nowadays, Scott’s Toys and Hobbies carries a wide variety of model subjects, including wooden kits, as well as beads, paints and diorama material.

After the passing of her husband, Diane has remained at the helm and hopes to have a public celebration later this year.
