San Juan Car Co. lives on

San Juan Car Co., manufacturer of O-scale and narrow-gauge model railroad cars and details, will continue to manufacture products through a corporation — San Juan Car Company Inc. — formed by Bob Staat. San Juan founder John Parker died in October (see obituary). His partner, Bob Fingerle, died in 2010.
Staat, a member of the Model Railroad Industry Hall of Fame, owned McHenry Couplers prior to its sale to Horizon Hobby.
