At the end of the fiscal year, you bring your books to your accountant. A few weeks later, he sends you statements and tax bills to pay—and his job is completed for another year.
Is this you? Do you view your accountant as merely the tabulator of your performance and tax liability?
Then you are losing out. Your accountant should be involved in your business, helping you make decisions and serving as a back-seat advisor.
