When is the last time you went to buy a new pair of running shoes and ended up riding a roller coaster? Being entertained while hitting the stores might seem like the exclusive domain of the West Edmonton Mall and the Mall of America, but “shoppertainment” is increasingly popular.
The concept is simple: Rather than focus solely on the merchandise you are stocking, store design and staffing, think about providing a fun, interactive, creative in-store experience to engage customers and encourage them to purchase.
